Surah Al-Baqarah Ayah 10

This Ayah talks about the diseases of the heart and Shubuhaat (doubts) and Shahawaat (desires) are the main diseases of the heart, as we know! Usually, we think of ourselves as we do not have any doubts the Shubuhaat, even though most of us will agree that we have a lot of desires, the Shahawaat. But what I was thinking while reflecting upon this particular ayah is that lesser the doubts, more our conviction (Yaqeen) will be!

So, if our Yaqeen is not strong, that means we have some type of doubts deep inside! And that is the reason why we are not able to control or put a control on our desires. If our Yaqeen is very strong, only then, we will be able to control our desires. So we need to seek more knowledge to strengthen our Imaan and thereby we need to keep implementing the knowledge that we gained through good deeds and In Sha Allah we can get rid of these doubts and desires. May Allah make it easy for us.
