Surah Al-Baqarah Ayah 148

The main theme of this ayah is about Racing towards khair as we all know.

To be in this stream we need something more important which is focus🎯

Mostly every human being has a purpose of living, for some it might be making more money, for some power, some growing up children to be well settled, so on and so forth.

What happens when our focus shifts from where it is supposed to be?

"I did not create jinn and humans except to worship Me." Quran 51:56

When we fill our hearts and efforts with anything other than Allah and His worship, it gets laden with something very trivial like worldly matters or problems which we then try to chase and Allah might give it to people according to their efforts, what next?

Once they get what they want they feel empty or depressed as the void was not filled with what it should have been filled with.

Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort. Quran 13:28

Coming back to

 فَٱسْتَبِقُوا۟ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ

Once we realise the purpose of life and channel it accordingly then racing towards khair becomes easy...

A purposeful life with focus...not bothered about people, things or situations around. The destination is clear and the actions steadfast, this happens only when we are able to remember our death often which keeps us running towards the pleasure of our Lord..

The chain of learning, implementing, racing should go on until our souls find the pleasure it craves...

˹Allah will say to the righteous,˺ “O tranquil soul! Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], Quran 89:27,28
