Islamic life coaching integrates traditional coaching methods with Islamic principles. It helps clients pursue personal and professional goals while aligning with their faith, values, and spiritual purpose.
2. How is life coaching different from therapy?
Therapy focuses on healing past trauma and emotional issues, while coaching is forward focused and goal-oriented.
3. Who can benefit from life coaching?
Anyone looking to make a change, improve performance, set and reach goals, or find clarity in life, work, relationships, or wellness can benefit.
4. What does a life coach do?
In i4SY the coach listens actively, asks powerful questions, helps clarify values and goals, identifies obstacles, and supports the client in creating and following an action plan all according to the Quran and Sunnah.
5. How are sessions conducted?
The client can speak to the coach over the phone, conferencing (Zoom, Skype, etc.), depending on the coach and client preferences.
6. How long is a typical coaching session?
Most sessions last 45 to 60 minutes. The frequency may vary weekly, biweekly, or monthly depending on the coaching plan.
7. How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your goals. Some clients work with a coach for a few sessions, while others continue for several months for long-term development.
8. Is everything I share kept confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is a core ethical principle, and even more so in an Islamic context.
9. Are the coaches in i4SY certified?
Yes, we have an amazing team of well-qualified and dedicated coaches ready to support and guide you. Weâre continually expanding our team to bring in more expertise and ensure you receive the best possible coaching experience.
10. What should I expect in a first session?
Youâll usually discuss your goals, current challenges, and what you hope to gain from coaching. Itâs also a time to determine if the coach-client dynamic works.
11. How much does life coaching cost at i4SY?
We have all sessions free until august. Rates vary widely.
12. Is it permissible to have a life coach in Islam?
Yes, as long as the coaching aligns with Islamic teachings and avoids anything haram. Coaching is a tool for personal development and can help Muslims live a more purposeful and balanced life.
13. Do you cater for both men and women?
Right now we offer coaching only for women, for the men the work is in progress.
14. Do I need to be very religious to benefit from Islamic coaching?
Not at all. Islamic coaching meets you where you are. Whether you're practicing, returning to faith, or exploring, the coaching process is supportive and non-judgmental.
15. Can you coach young Muslims dealing with identity or cultural pressure?
Yes. Islamic coaching helps youth and young adults navigate challenges around identity, faith, career, and cultural expectations with clarity, confidence, and tawakkul.
16. Can I bring up mental health issues in coaching?
Yesâbut life coaches are not mental health professionals. If youâre dealing with depression, anxiety, or trauma, a therapist is more appropriate. Coaches can work alongside therapy to support personal growth.

Thatâs exactly when coaching can help. Islamic life coaching provides tools to rediscover clarity, meaning, and aligned direction step by step, starting from where you are.

Progress is measured by your growth in clarity, consistency, emotional regulation, alignment with Islamic values, and movement toward your personal and spiritual goals.
19. Do you use mindset or manifestation techniques? Are they Islamic?
Islamic coaching emphasizes tawakkul (reliance on Allah), dua, and actionânot âmanifestationâ in a New Age sense. Positive mindset is encouraged, but always within Islamic belief in qadr and Allahâs will.
